But Jean-Hugues Gros had already been working in the Douro region since 1999.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e He found in this region a winemaking potential that allowed him to develop a diversity of terroir wines, elegant and versatile.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e After completing his enology course and several internships in Burgundy in 1992, Jean-Hugues Gros had the unique opportunity to spend 16 months at Sandeman in Porto. And that's how his discovery of Port wines, the enchanting Douro region, and its wines began.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e After further experiences in California and Champagne, he definitively returned in 1999 to work at Quinta do Convento de São Pedro das Águias, a small Port wine company located next to the Távora River, near Tabuaço.
