It was this challenge that led him to the Douro Valley to start a collaborative project with his sister Joana, also an oenologist, giving rise to Maçanita Vinhos - Irmãos e Enólogos (Maçanita Wines - Brothers and Oenologists). All of António Maçanita's projects stem from challenges, partnerships driven by friendship and the complicity of those who share the same vision and passion for wine. His dedication to terroirs and sustainable local development leads to the creation of unique, special wines, produced in small batches, distinguished by their quality and originality. And António Maçanita always applies an almost alchemist-like care in the creation of his blends.
