After wine, beer, late-harvest, and cachaça, he decided to create his first rum. Refugees is the name of the blend created by Ljubomir Stanisic, aged for 2 years in the warehouses of Licores Serrano, in the Serra da Estrela mountains. Made from sugarcane – originally from Syria, in ancient Persia – it migrated along the Mediterranean Sea to southern Spain, where it is distilled, and finally arrived in Portugal where it found refuge, a safe haven. After aging in French oak barrels, which had previously held whiskey, Portuguese cherry liqueur, and Douro wine, Refugees Rum was born.\u003cbr\u003e \nA story told in bottles, all numbered and illustrated by Mário Belém with images that evoke the Middle East.
