It was in the mid-1980s that wine production began to take off as a result of the passion, determination, and entrepreneurship of its founders, Mr. Fabiano Santos and Mr. Augusto Virgílio de Souza. We named our wines \"Quinta da Mata Fidalga - QMF\" because the Quinta is located on plots of vineyards that give rise to our wines, in the place where there was once a luxurious forest, much used by the nobility of the time as a leisure and entertainment area.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\n \u003cdiv\u003eThe passion and professionalism we put into producing our wines has allowed us to be one of the leading producers in the region, having won more than 30 awards in the Bairrada Wine Awards. Our entry-level sparkling wine range begins with brut white, brut rosé, and brut red, with a minimum aging time of 12 months. Our premium range includes the personal reserve, and our top wine is the Virgílio de Sousa, with a minimum aging time of three years.
