Behind Adega Cartuxa is a large family, the Eug\u00e9nio de Almeida family. Let's go back to 1913, the year in which Vasco Maria was born, into one of the most influential families of the 19th century. Born in Lisbon, he soon established ties with \u00c9vora and Alentejo, where the family had an extensive heritage. Vasco Maria always considered people as the most valuable variable around which he organized all his efforts. Among them, the revitalization of wine-growing activity and the investment in the planting of a vast area of olive groves just a few kilometers from \u00c9vora stand out, which resulted in the wines and olive oils still produced today.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Vinifica\u00e7\u00e3o do Vinho Cartuxa DOC Tinto: produzido a partir das castas Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet e Trincadeira, plantadas nas vinhas de Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Eug\u00e9nio de Almeida. Quando as uvas atingem o estado de matura\u00e7\u00e3o ideal, s\u00e3o colhidas e transportadas para a adega, onde se inicia o processo tecnol\u00f3gico com desengace total e ligeiro esmagamento. Em seguida, as uvas s\u00e3o fermentadas separadamente, em cubas de inox, \u00e0 temperatura de 27\u00ba, a que se segue matura\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00f3s-fermentiva prolongada.<\/p>\n
