Producer and exporter of Port Wines, DOC Douro and DOC Moscatel do Douro Wines, of high quality and prestige, highlights not only the results of expansion and modernization over the years but also the preservation of ancestral wisdom from the ground up familiar.<\/p>\n
Its headquarters are at Quinta da Vista Alegre, located in the heart of the oldest Demarcated Wine Region in the world \u2013 Douro Demarcated Region \u2013 and is located in the Cima Corgo sub-region, a few kilometers from Pinh\u00e3o. Bucolic space with an immersive and superb landscape given its privileged geographical location that provides visitors with a beautiful view of the Douro River.<\/p>\n
Of enormous natural beauty, its corners are characterized by points of interest, a perfect harmony with nature perpetuated in memory through the sharpening of the senses of the eye \u2013 unique pleasures of the taste for rurality, the landscape and nature itself.<\/span><\/p>\n The history of this farm's vineyards in wine production is admittedly distant, prior to the 19th century. This is the conclusion that can be inferred from books specializing in vine typologies and from some abandoned terraces \u2013 the mortorios.<\/p>\n At the beginning of the 1970s, the company transformed from an individual company into a public limited company, called Sociedade Agr\u00edcola Barros SA at the time. In May 1998, the Company changed its corporate name to VALLEGRE - Vinhos do Porto, SA, resulting from the combination of the names of its two most important Quintas \u2013 Valle Longo and Vista Alegre \u2013 maintaining, however, its markedly familiar nature and which unites five generations.<\/p>\n Their primary objective is to produce Protected Designation of Origin Wines: DOC Porto, DOC Douro and DOC Moscatel do Douro of the highest quality and national and international prestige.
