 Origin England

Voted the best gin in the world at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2011! Whitley Neill is an independent distillery, a family business with 4 generations linked to distilling. It was the first premium London Gin that used African botanicals – the fruit of the African Baobab Tree, the “Tree of Life”, and Cape Gooseberry (Physalis). Using traditional methods, Whitley Neill is distilled in small batches in an antique copper pot that is over 100 years old, ensuring maximum quality for each batch. Unlike harder “old style” gins, London Dry is softer, with an ideal flavor profile to be drunk neat only with ice.

Description

Whitley Neill is made with a botanical rich 100% grain spirit before being distilled in a beautiful antique copper pot still called 'Constance' that is over 100 years old.

Only the purest water is used and each of the nine botanicals is carefully selected to ensure they are of the highest quality. Whitley Neill's slogan of “Created from the tree of life” goes a long way toward describing what these vegetables can be.

Bringing together a mix of innovative botanicals, such as cape gooseberries and baobab fruit, to its range, it also has other more traditional botanicals, such as juniper, coriander, lemon and orange peel, angelica root, cassia bark and orris root.

The slogan also gives clues to the attitude taken by creator Johnny Neill, as it reflects his new 21st century perspective, whilst also making a reference to gin's heritage and the London-based gin distilling expertise used at the distillery.
