Description
DEAU COGNAC… a family story…
The story begins in 1685, during the reign of King Louis XIV, when Louis Deau sets up as a winegrower in Charente and discovers the mythical alchemy of stills.
For several generations, the Bru Legaret family has owned and operated a wine estate in the heart of the Cognac region.
Today, Véronique Bru Legaret and her son Roland Legaret take over the destiny of the DEAU COGNAC brand, and are proud to make you discover a universe where the beautiful, the exceptional and the unique meet and can create absolute emotion, a revelation, a discovery .
Cognac DEAU is located in Sireuil (Charente, France) and more precisely “Aux Moisans” in the heart of the Cognac region.
It is here, in the middle of the vineyards, overlooking the Charente, that our distillery and its 12 copper stills are located, next to the ancient cellars where the precious spirits from our Collection age in more than 2,000 barrels.
At Sireuil we are dedicated to creating exceptional cognacs, but also to the French art of living.
DEAU COGNAC is inspired by the balance between luxury and nature that is characterized and reflected in the elegance of its range.
The “Griffon”, family emblem, is the symbolic guardian of nature’s treasures. Today he is the noble protector of our vineyards and the golden elixir stored in our cellars.
At Domaine des Moisans is the distillery and its 12 copper stills, next to the old cellars where the precious spirits from our collection age in more than 2,000 barrels.
The only authorized wood is oak, whose soft tannins and ability to exchange with outside air allow the young eaux-de-vie to mature perfectly.
The Cognac barrel has a capacity of 350 L from which part of the angels that will blacken the roofs and walls of the aging cellars evaporate.
