Description

HENDRICK'S GIN is filled with the curious yet wonderful essences of rose and cucumber, deliciously supported by no less than 11 botanicals from the four corners of the world. This extravagant blend produces a wonderfully refreshing gin with a deliciously floral aroma.

HENDRICK GIN is distilled in not one, but two absolutely different types of still. The two leaders of this particular set of photos are the Bennett, an antique copper pot dating back to 1860, and the Carter-Head, dated 1948 (only a few of which exist today).

Bennett drains the botanicals in spirit overnight before distillation, resulting in a rich, complex liquid. As the Carter-Head delicately carries the botanicals in a basket high on his neck, the influence is imparted to the spirit in something akin to a botanical steam bath. This produces a lighter, more delicate spirit.

The harmonious combination of the Bennett and Carter-Head stills creates an extraordinarily smooth gin like no other that has the necessary character and balance of subtle flavors.

HENDRICK'S GIN Palace comes from the small coastal village of Girvan, which is in Ayrshire, southwest Scotland. The distillery is just a mile inland and overlooks the mysterious volcanic island of Ailsa Craig. This alluring outcrop is uninhabited except for a few geese and puffins, but appears in many local legends.
