Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz
Ruby red colored wine. Fruity aroma, with cherry, black fruit, some jam, spices. Wood present, in balance with primary aromas. In the mouth, it is structured and fresh, with polished tannin in perfect symbiosis with the aroma.
After careful selection of our best grapes, they are de-stemmed, crushed and placed in stainless steel vats where they undergo 24-hour cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation, with selected yeasts, and malolactic fermentation.
Once all winemaking processes have been completed, the wine ages for 6 months in French oak barrels.
This wine accompanies meat dishes, cheeses and sausages. It should be consumed at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
Description
Always linked to the Douro, the Sá family begins their winemaking journey by selling quality grapes from their vineyards in Soutelo do Douro.
Over time, and always focusing on quality, the properties grew, never forgetting the roots that made the business prosper, also starting to produce its own wine.
In 2019, Sa'Vinum was born, the result of the desire of the youngest member of the family, João de Sá, to continue the business left by his father and his passion for the Douro.
Today, the brand has several properties, different types of wine and a new wine cellar.
