  1. Scope and Object of the Store's General Conditions

    1.1 These General Conditions, together with the order form and the other elements referred to therein, are intended to regulate the terms and conditions governing the provision of the Online Store Service by Fernando Rodrigues Ferreira Unipessoal, Lda, headquartered at Av. de São Lourenço 54, Celeirós, 4705-442 Braga, under the single registration and corporate identification number 509570720, with a share capital of 10,000.00 (euros), hereinafter referred to as Garrafeira Grande Escolha.

    1.2 The service consists of providing access to the Online Store via the address https://garrafeiragrandeescolha.pt, which, in addition to providing information relating to a set of products and/or services, allows the user to electronically order the products disclosed therein, under the terms and conditions described herein.

    1.3 The purchase of any product in the Garrafeira Grande Escolha Online Store implies the acceptance of these General Conditions of Online Sale.

    1.4 Any and all alcoholic beverages available for sale in the Garrafeira Grande Escolha Online Store may only be purchased by persons who are of legal drinking age in their country of residence. The elements and information transmitted by the user will enjoy full legal effect, with the user recognizing the electronic purchases, and the user cannot claim the lack of signature for non-compliance with the obligations assumed.


  1. Product Information, Prices and Content

    2.1 Garrafeira Grande Escolha reserves the right to modify, without prior notice and at any time, the information and commercial offer presented regarding: products, prices, promotions, commercial conditions, and services.

    2.2 The images that illustrate each product at Garrafeira Grande Escolha may differ from the product subsequently delivered, and these same products are also subject to stock shortages. If a product is not available after you have placed your order, you will be notified by email or telephone. At that time, you will be presented with the possibility of canceling the order with the respective refund, if you have already made the payment.

    2.3 Garrafeira Grande Escolha will make every effort to ensure that the information presented does not contain typographical errors, and these will be quickly corrected whenever they occur. If you purchase a product that has different characteristics to those presented online, you have the right to terminate the purchase contract under the applicable legal terms (right of free withdrawal).

    2.4 Under Portuguese legislation, all prices presented at Garrafeira Grande Escolha include the respective VAT rates in force, unless otherwise stated.

    2.5 The promotions advertised at Garrafeira Grande Escolha may not apply to the physical store at Av. de São Lourenço 54, Celeirós in Braga.


  1. Ordering and Payment

    3.1 After confirming the order at Garrafeira Grande Escolha, an email will be sent to the contact address registered by the customer upon formalization, with all the details regarding delivery, invoicing, payment information, products, and values. Garrafeira Grande Escolha suggests that all customers confirm the details of their order. If the customer does not receive the order confirmation email, they are requested to contact Garrafeira Grande Escolha.

    3.2 If any of the details placed by the customer in the order are incorrect and/or the customer wishes to change any information, provided the order has not yet been shipped, the customer is requested to contact us as soon as possible so that the requested change can be made internally. Changes to the details of orders already shipped will have to be analyzed by the Garrafeira Grande Escolha team so that, together with the customer, the most appropriate solution can be found.

    3.3 All orders at Garrafeira Grande Escolha will only be processed after actual receipt of payment. The formalization of the order in itself does not constitute a reservation of the products.

    3.4 If an order cannot be partially or totally fulfilled, the customer will be immediately contacted by Garrafeira Grande Escolha in order to find the most appropriate solution.

    3.5 All orders placed at Garrafeira Grande Escolha have a maximum payment period of 15 days. After this period, the order will be automatically canceled.

    3.6 Through the Garrafeira Grande Escolha Online Store, payments are accepted via Multibanco Reference and MBWay (for customers with a bank account in Portugal), Credit Card, and Paypal.

    3.7 The order statuses at Garrafeira Grande Escolha are comprised of 3 main phases (plus an exceptional one): Pending, Processing, On Hold, and Completed.

    a) Pending – Awaiting payment entry into the system;
    b) Processing – Phase in which payment has been received, and the order is being processed and packaged/prepared;
    c) On Hold – Awaiting additional confirmations with the customer to proceed with the order. Exceptional phase.
    d) Completed – The order has already been dispatched/shipped.

    3.8 Payments are received in euros; regardless of the currency in which the transaction is made, conversion rates for payments made in other currencies must be borne by the customer.


  1. Shipping Costs

    4.1 The respective shipping cost is added to the prices presented for the products for each order, which depends on the order's weight and destination. This shipping cost can be simulated inside the shopping cart with the desired products added and by filling in all the requested fields of the simulator. The total shipping cost will also be automatically calculated when placing your order in the Online Store. It should be noted that the factors of this calculation may vary and undergo changes without prior notice.


  1. Shipments and Deliveries/Pick-up at the Garrafeira Grande Escolha Physical Store

    5.1 For orders to be sent to the requested address, the shipping option must be chosen – National Shipping (for Portugal) and International Shipping (for other countries outside Portugal).

    5.2 In general, after dispatch, an order at Garrafeira Grande Escolha takes the following to be delivered:

    – 72 hours in Mainland Portugal;
    – Between 5 to 9 business days in the Madeira and Azores Islands;
    – About 4 business days in Peninsular Spain;
    – About 6 to 9 business days in the rest of Europe;
    – Approximately 7 business days in the rest of the world.

    5.3 All products shipped by Garrafeira Grande Escolha must be checked upon delivery. If the customer verifies that the order is damaged, they must return it immediately to the transport company, properly justify the reason for the return on the carrier's delivery note, and immediately notify Garrafeira Grande Escolha.

    5.4 If after delivery, the customer verifies that any of the items are not in conformity, they are requested to immediately contact Garrafeira Grande Escolha via the email info@garrafeiragrandeescolha.pt indicating the order number or the number of the document that accompanied the order, attaching images of the packaging as received and of all items, so that the investigation process can be opened internally and the situation can be resolved as soon as possible.

    5.5 Garrafeira Grande Escolha is not responsible for shipments made to countries where the respective law does not allow the entry of alcoholic beverages. The possible seizure of the respective orders is the responsibility of the customers, as well as the payment of customs fees, if any. In case of the return of the products, Garrafeira Grande Escolha will only refund the amount relative to these same products. In case of doubt, the customer may contact Garrafeira Grande Escolha before ordering.

    5.6 Garrafeira Grande Escolha has contracted services with specialized carriers for deliveries in Portugal, Europe, and most countries of the World. Every effort is made to meet the dispatch and delivery deadlines; however, it is noted that possible delays in deliveries may be outside the control of Garrafeira Grande Escolha, and in such cases, exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

    5.7 Most deliveries are made during business hours on business days at the shipping address indicated by the customer when submitting the order.

    5.8 In case of an unsuccessful delivery attempt by the transport company due to absence, a delivery notice is always left in the customer's mailbox with the carrier's instructions. Depending on the service and the carrier, orders must be collected at the location indicated on the delivery notice, or the instructions requested on the same notice must be followed.

    5.9 Before submitting the order, if the customer wishes to pick it up at the physical store, they must select the ''Pick-up in Store'' shipping option – the Store at Av. de São Lourenço 54, Celeirós in Braga will be automatically assumed.

    a) Only the person whose name is described on the order note will be authorized to pick up the order, unless they inform Garrafeira Grande Escolha in advance that another person (identifying the name) will pick up the order.


  1. Shipments and Deliveries/Pick-up

    6.1 Garrafeira Grande Escolha grants all its customers the right to terminate the contracts concluded with it, allowing them to return the purchased products within 14 days from the day the consumer acquires physical possession of the goods, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 143/2001 and Decree-Law 82/2008 of 20/05.

    6.2 For exchanges or returns, the customer is requested to contact Garrafeira Grande Escolha via the email info@garrafeiragrandeescolha.pt indicating the order number or the document that accompanied it, taking into account the conditions detailed below in the following topics:

    a) To return the order, the product must be in perfect condition, and where appropriate, with its original packaging, accessories, or promotional offers included, and accompanied by the proof of purchase or invoice.

    b) The return of defective products and incorrect shipments will be accepted, with Garrafeira Grande Escolha being responsible for the shipping and collection costs provided the customer communicates this circumstance within 14 days from the date of receipt of the product.

    c) Once the merchandise is received at our facilities and after validating its compliant condition, its value will be refunded according to the payment method made by the customer, or another solution previously agreed upon with them.

    d) In the event that the return is not due to a defect or incorrect shipment, the respective shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility.

    6.3 Garrafeira Grande Escolha assumes the responsibility arising from defects of origin or raw material of the purchased product, and if this is confirmed by the specialized team of Garrafeira Grande Escolha, the product will be exchanged or returned without any cost to the customer.

    6.4 Garrafeira Grande Escolha will not accept the return of the product after it has been used, or in the case of it being altered or modified.

    6.5 Garrafeira Grande Escolha is not responsible for deficiencies arising from incorrect use, negligence, improper storage conditions, or causes of force majeure.


  1. Responsibility

    7.1 All purchases made on the Garrafeira Grande Escolha website are subject to Portuguese legislation. Any conflict or divergence of interpretation of the General Conditions of Online Sale will be submitted to the competent Portuguese Court.

    7.2 If the Customer is located outside Mainland Portugal, Garrafeira Grande Escolha informs that any legal proceedings must be exclusively initiated in the Portuguese Courts.


  1. Privacy and Personal Data Protection

    8.1. Garrafeira Grande Escolha guarantees the confidentiality of all data provided by Users.

    8.2. The personal data identified on the order form as being mandatory are indispensable for the provision of the Service by Garrafeira Grande Escolha. The omission or inaccuracy of the data provided by the User is their sole and entire responsibility and may give rise to the refusal of the provision of the Service by Garrafeira Grande Escolha.

    8.3. The User's personal data will be processed and stored electronically and are intended to be used by Garrafeira Grande Escolha within the scope of the contractual and/or commercial relationship with the User.

    8.4. Under the applicable legislation, the User is guaranteed, without additional charges, the right to access, rectify, and update their personal data, directly or by written request, as well as the right to object to the use thereof for the purposes provided for in the preceding paragraph, for which they must contact the entity responsible for processing personal data: Garrafeira Grande Escolha.

    8.5. The Internet is an open network, so the User's personal data, other personal information, and all content hosted on the Service may circulate on the network without security conditions, even running the risk of being accessible and used by unauthorized third parties for this purpose, and Garrafeira Grande Escolha cannot be held responsible for such access and/or use.
