GAUTIER XO is a powerful blend of ancient eaux-de-vie, some of which come from or “Paradise Cellar”, where the oldest and most precious Cognac eaux-de-vie are kept. Generous in the mouth, it offers a splendid and persistent length in the mouth, so characteristic of ancient Cognacs.
A golden amber color. A rich and harmonious blend of old eaux-de-vie, combining intense aromas of candied fruits, cinnamon and toasted bread, with subtle floral notes. Generous and soft in the mouth, it offers a beautiful length in the mouth.
Maison GAUTIER's XO is an intense cognac, with particularly rich aromas that can be enjoyed neat, with ice or even with sparkling water.
XO by Maison GAUTIER was recognized as the “BEST COGNAC IN THE WORLD” at the World Cognac Awards 2015 and won the “Extraordinary Gold” medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2015.
Description
The story begins in the 17th century, when the GAUTIER family owned a forest near the Tronçais forest, in France. More than a skill, our ancestors developed a close relationship with the oak, captured in the family motto “DU GALT MER SUI” which means “I am the Lord of the Forest” in Old French. This particular experience is one of the key elements in mastering Cognac's long maturation process.
