Hehn Rosé Sparkling Family 75cl

Description

Hehn family, for many years linked to the Távora-Varosa Region, the region par excellence for sparkling wines in Portugal. From here and from our German origins comes our passion for sparkling wines.

The wines are created at Quinta da Seara, São Cosmado, Armamar. Located on the slopes of the Tedo River, which flows into the Douro, facing southeast and 700 meters above sea level, this property constitutes a unique terroir for the production of white and sparkling wines. The farm has been in the family for several generations, with me, the current owner, winegrower and winemaker, Marcos Hehn Pinto da Silva, being the fourth generation. The first harvest we bottled was in 2005 and today, 13 years later, we know that the wines from these highlands south of the Douro have incredible aging potential. We use the region's traditional grape varieties, white and red, of which we highlight Cerceal Branco and Gouveio, but we also wanted to show that our land welcomes foreign grape varieties. For this reason, and also honoring our German origins, we plant Riesling from the Mosel, which has given us great pleasure.
