Pacheca Superior Tinto has a young and intense ruby color. It reveals a fruity aroma with strong notes of blackberries and plums, balanced with notes of chocolate that come from the barrels. In the mouth it shows balance with round tannins and a long and persistent finish.
Description
Quinta da Pacheca, one of the best-known farms in the Douro region, was also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own brand. It is mentioned for the first time in a document dated April 1738, where it is referred to as “Pacheca”, as it is owned by D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. But it was only in 1903, when D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, that he bought the farm and began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. Today, a century and many successes later, a new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family.
