Com o Xaymaca Special Dry, a Plantation revive o estilo jamaicano dos runs 100% alambique de cobre do século XIX com uma expressão de sabores intensos que revelam o tradicional, lendário “Rum Funk”: aromas e sabores de banana preta e ananás flambado, localmente chamado “Hogo”, uma anglicização do termo francês “Haut Goût” (alto sabor).
Aroma: Muito complexo, ligeiramente fumado com acumulação de notas frutadas, herbais e azedas. A seguir vem a baunilha, com banana cozida, casca de laranja amarga e ananás maduro.
Palato: Seco, com um perfil mais floral e frutado de água de rosas, pêra, uva branca, damasco e ananás. Em seguida, emerge leite de coco, bálsamo, especiarias, pão e nozes.

In the 90s, Alexandre Gabriel scoured the Caribbean in search of the region's best rums. The plantation is born: an artisanal variety of rum from the great terroirs of the tropics. Fifteen years dedicated to crafting rum later, in 2012, Alexandre received the Master Rum Blender of the Year award at the Golden Rum Barrel Awards and was named Distiller of the Year by the American Distilling Institute.
Today, president and owner of Maison Ferrand, Alexandre Gabriel has won accolades across the category and industry. Focus on three main spirits that represent the passion and vision of Maison Ferrand: Ferrand Cognac, Citadelle Gin and Plantation Rum: authentic spirits that express the individual terroirs that created them.
