VINHO VERDE ZULMIRA first entered the market with the 2017 harvest, through limited production and selected and referenced operators. VINHO VERDE ZULMIRA, coming from a small family property in Santo Tirso, is a high quality green wine, made under the responsibility of a renowned winemaker, Eng. António Sousa, and happily combining Loureiro and Arinto grape varieties. In the first professional review it received, it is described as “a wine with a delicate and fine aroma, very expressive, elegant, with a light fruity sweetness offset by good acidity. Light, but full of flavor and very fresh.” (in: “Grandes Escolhas”, Sept. 2018).
The uncompromising defense of quality is reflected not only in the product but also in the way VINHO VERDE ZULMIRA is presented to the consumer, through a careful bottle and a label and packaging designed by Henrique Cayatte based on an original engraving by Armanda Passos .
VINHO VERDE ZULMIRA is light and delicate, has a special texture and elegance and well evokes the personality of Zulmira, the woman who inspired its name. Transporting you to a hot day under the branches and releasing a feeling of comfort, this wine goes particularly well with fish, seafood, cheeses or salads, it should be served cold and, above all, drunk in good company.

Description
VINHO VERDE ZULMIRA is produced with grapes from a small farm located in Santo Tirso, in the north of Portugal. Originally integrated, from 1724, into the vast heritage of the Benedictine monks, located on the bank of the river Ave and possessing a natural charm, this farm was, at the time, used by its owners as a sheltered place, intended for rest, prayer and contemplation. According to monastic records, vines were already planted at the time, as well as chestnut trees, olive trees and other fruit trees. The walled space is topped by a gate with a small statue of St. Benedict, to which legend attributes miraculous powers.
Many years later, Zulmira was the woman who, in the last century, for affective and emotional reasons, chose to inherit this property from her parents with the aim of enjoying it, caring for it and protecting it in a way compatible with its long history. And it is in honor of this great woman who never gave up on the farm and her vineyard, that the wine is registered under her name, ZULMIRA.
Today, it is up to his daughter and granddaughters to continue the tradition and share with you the special quality, texture and elegance of this VINHO?VERDE?ZULMIRA.
