Description
Quinta das Arcas was established in the 80s by Esteves Monteiro, following work begun in the previous decade, to restructure family agriculture, with a strong focus on land consolidation and the implementation of modern viticulture. In 1985, he founded the company, launching the first bottles under the Arca Nova brand.
Throughout this time, the company paid special attention to the production area, following from an early stage a path of improving quality while minimizing the impact on nature. In 2012, and already with around 200 hectares of vineyards in the Vinhos Verdes Region, Quinta das Arcas launched its first organic wine on the market.
