Cortes do Tua Tinto is composed of a blend of grapes from the Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela grape varieties from vineyards over 30 years old.
It has a ruby red color. Complex and intense aroma where black fruits stand out. Very firm acidity and tannins make it a balanced, intense and velvety wine, with a long and fruity finish.
Aging in French oak barrels for 18 months.
Description
Cortes do Tua Wines arises from the crossing between three-year-old vineyards from the Tua valley and the hands of two young winemakers Duarte da Costa and Ana de Almeida.
The passion for wine, international experience and the winemaking tradition of the Douro brought these two young people together to produce harmonious, balanced and elegant wines.
The Cortes do Tua vineyards are located on the left bank of the Tua River, in the Douro Superior sub-region, in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region. Adega Cortes do Tua is located in the Douro Superior sub-region in Pombal de Ansiães, Carrazeda de Ansiães.
