VARIETIES: Vinhas Velhas.
VINIFICATION: The grapes, coming from Vinhas Velhas, were transported in plastic food boxes and subjected to rigorous sorting at the entrance to the winery. After gentle crushing without stemming, they were sent to a traditional stone press where they were trodden by foot at regular intervals. Wine brandy was later added, thus stopping fermentation.
AGEING: In Portuguese oak barrels, where it remained for approximately 2 years. It was bottled, without any fining or filtration, and is subject to creating a slight deposit during its aging.
TASTING NOTE: Color: Opaque.
Nose: Excellent concentration and aromatic depth, where expressive notes of ripe wild fruits, rockrose and soft fruits stand out.
spice.
Mouth: Harmonious beginning, progressively evolving into a wine of great volume and concentration, composed of fresh tannins with a firm and very compact texture. It finishes fresh, long and elegant, with a notable aromatic explosion of very ripe wild berries in perfect harmony with notes of rockrose. Everything in perfect balance, which suggests a high potential for aging in the bottle.
WINEMAKERS: Manuel Lobo and Tomás Roquette.
