180,00

Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot

With violet tones, the wine presents aromas of ripe black fruit surrounded by light notes of spices, which gives it excellent complexity. It is a full-bodied, voluminous, long wine, with fine and smooth tannins. A wine with great aging potential.

Description

QUINTA COLINAS DE S. LOURENÇO, the first property to become part of the Group's heritage, is a modern and exemplary farm that marks the origins of IDEALDRINKS.

Acquired in 2009, this extensive property is located in São Lourenço do Bairro, Anadia, in the heart of Bairrada, a wine-growing area par excellence and a region especially cherished by IDEALDRINKS. The 80 hectares of vineyards are spread over the clay-limestone soils of the gentle hills typical of the Region, which gave rise to its name.

The vineyard, which was completely remodeled and replanted with several national and international grape varieties - Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Arinto - allows the production of a wide and diverse range of products, including red, rosé, white and sparkling wines.

The farm's wine cellar, recently built according to the best examples worldwide, uses the most modern winemaking technology, moving all liquids and masses by gravity. The spacious aging rooms, equipped with the best French oak barrels, provide the ideal conditions for the peaceful rest of the wines, which normally also age in bottles for several years. The reserve wines intended for the production of sparkling wines also age in these rooms in imposing reserve barrels.

The tradition of Térroir da Bairrada and the “savoir-faire” of the IDEALDRINKS team are combined here with the modernity of the vineyard and winemaking processes, creating wines and sparkling wines of high complexity and elegance, presented through a rich and extensive portfolio that includes the brands Principal, Colinas and São Lourenço.
