A vindima de Viosinho foi feita no final de agosto. O Arinto e o Folgozão foram colhidos no início de setembro, à mão e diretamente em caixas de pequena capacidade. Maceração com películas durante cerca de 10 horas, com fermentação em barricas de carvalho francês. Amadurecido por 6 meses nas mesmas barricas com método de bâtonnage.
Um notável nariz opulento de frutas tropicais e notas sutis de fumaça do barril de madeira. Marcante no paladar pelo equilíbrio perfeito entre cremosidade e acidez. Um vinho envolvente e persistente.
Description
Innovation combined with the traditional way of doing things has allowed us to evolve and maintain the personality of these lands, which over the years have seen several changes. The construction of the Bagaúste Dam and the consequent rise in water levels meant that part of the original area of Quinta de S. Luiz became submerged.
The solution involved the acquisition of contiguous properties, such as Quinta da Mesquita (1972), Quinta da Lobata (1974), Quinta da Alegria (1982) and Quinta da Galeira (1987). The Quinta currently covers 125ha, 90 of which are planted with vines, including old vines that produce fruit for our premium wines.
