It all began here in 1818, when Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon married, marking the creation of their Champagne House. This is a family story from the start, with Elisabeth's brother, Louis Salmon, a passionate winemaker, also involved in the creation of the wines.
Thus, over seven generations, each family member has strived to continue the family tradition, remaining true to the same motto: "Prioritize quality, seek excellence."
The champagnes of Maison Billecart-Salmon are created, above all, thanks to the expertise of the men who meticulously cultivate a 100-hectare estate, obtaining grapes from a total area of 300 hectares across 40 crus in the Champagne region.
Most of the grapes used for winemaking come from a 20 km radius around Epernay, where the Grand Crus of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay coexist, in the ethereal vineyards of Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.
