Beyond an enormous love and respect for the fruit of the land, Camus's culture is based on innovation and the pursuit of exceptional aromatic qualities – beyond their role as entrepreneurs, the members of this family see themselves as winegrowers, explorers, and lovers of their craft. The Camus family is today one of the largest landowners in the Cognac Borderies appellation. This specificity is small compared to the vision of Jean-Paul Camus, who identified that the potential flavor of the region's different terroirs was at a very early stage. Guided more by his own intuition than by passing trends, he chose to develop the generally neglected cru Cognac in Borderies, thus allowing its flavors to shine throughout the world.
