As Tecedeiras is located in the prime wine region of the Douro, eight kilometers upstream from the village of Pinhão. This property, with its privileged views over the Douro River, holds memories of a rich history, not only of the vineyards, but also of the linen-weaving nuns who gave it its name, and of the olive grove.
Walking through Tecelãs, one understands how a happy symbiosis grows there between the old and new vineyards, as well as with the olive grove that comes from the time when phylloxera forced the Douro to find alternative crops to the devastated vineyards.
It is from this valued heritage that the internationally recognized quality of Douro DOC wines and Quinta das Tecedeiras Port wines is born.
