Located in the heart of Alto Alentejo, in Alter do Chão, Herdade Papa Leite dates back to the 17th century, a landmark that can still be found on the estate today.
This dream was only possible to realize with the support of his family and the team he works with.
For centuries, the cultivation of cereals, olive groves, holm oaks, and cork oaks were the main activities to which the estate was dedicated.
With the reproduction of the already existing Alentejana breed and the introduction of the Aberdeen-Angus breed, the estate saw its activity revitalized and, nowadays, the approximately 320 hectares, in addition to raising cattle, also produce wine and olive oil.
