Herdade do Rocim is a property located between Vidigueira and Cuba, in the Lower Alentejo region.

Starting out in the agricultural mechanization sector in the 1970s, Movicortes' trajectory is marked by investment in diversified and complementary sectors. The business in equipment (public works, agriculture, and automobiles) was later joined by media, books, and wine production, with Rocim.

Investment in the wine sector began in 2000 with Herdade do Rocim. A property of approximately 120 hectares, 70 of which are vineyards, located between Vidigueira and Cuba, in the Lower Alentejo region. A new adventure and a dream began there.

The first few years were dedicated to restructuring and improving the farm, planting new vines and introducing new grape varieties, in a project that blended new and old knowledge, reason and emotion, supported by the love between father and daughter.
Next came the construction of the winery and the production of wine, with its own brands.

Also in Cortes (Leiria), the birthplace of José Ribeiro Vieira, the company's founder, Rocim began planting vineyards in 2003 with a view to recovering the brand image of this parish and also the family's tradition in the wine sector, with the launch of Vale da Mata.

Today, Rocim is already recognized for the quality of its wines and its winery. To speak of its history is to speak of a dream, and therefore it is also to speak of the present and the future. Because the dream has no end.
