Founded by the Costa Barros de Figueiredo family more than 5 generations ago, the estate today comprises 4 vineyards with a production area of 13 hectares - Vale de Escadinhas, Barreiro, Esmoitada and Falorca - in the Silgueiros sub-region.
The vineyards have all been converted over the last 30 years, the result of a large investment that also focused directly on wine production and the construction of a modern winery.
Given its exceptional conditions, Quinta Vale das Escadinhas has an additional 10 hectares of forest and agricultural land comprising olive groves, hazelnut orchards, and pine forest.
