Description

Nunes Barata is a wine project originating in Cabeção, municipality of Mora, in Alto Alentejo. This area, the result of a terroir of exception has a distinguished history in producing quality wines, full of character and was known for its famous carved wines. Here, vineyards and wine have always been the main economic activity.

The brothers Luis Miguel It is José Manuel represent the seventh generation of the family Nunes Barata, which has always had strong traditions in winemaking, thus continuing a family tradition that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century.

 

“Cabeção is a traditional place for producing Alentejo wines. The particular condition of the climate and soil, associated with well-adapted grape varieties, led us to resume, with advanced technology, wine production, where our grandparents had been doing it since 1836.”
