The story begins in 1870.
During the war, Joseph Graser fled the Germans and left Alsace, his native region, to reach Epernay on foot in Champagne, where his wife Alice was born. He died suddenly in the middle of the street at the age of 44. Her son, Armand-Raphaël, dreamed of being a doctor. But, having become the head of the family prematurely, he had to take on the expenses and later developed a wine brokerage business.

In 1920, Armand-Raphaël expanded this activity and began producing Champagne Graser, which he quickly renamed "AR Lenoble". With the armistice still imminent, and his German-sounding name not seeming like a good idea, he created the brand "AR Lenoble". "AR" for his initials and "Lenoble" in homage to the nobility of Champagne wines.

Four generations will succeed one another, maintaining family dominance and remaining completely independent, all with strong values defended with commitment and dedication.

Today, Anne and Antoine Malassagne, brother and sister, manage the estate. For over 20 years, guided by their convictions, they have shaped AR Lenoble Champagnes. By resisting attempted takeover bids that offered prospects for serene and rapid development, they have preserved their freedom. This precious independence ensures constantly improving quality, never shaken by the demand for immediate and imposed profitability.

The estate's 18-acre vineyard is located on the most beautiful slopes of Champagne.
In Chouilly, one of the 6 Grand Cru classified villages in the Côte des Blancs.
In Bisseuil, the terroir has classified the wine as a Premier Cru of the Montagne de Reims. Supplies from partner winegrowers in the Epernay region complete the range of vintages used in the composition of AR Lenoble champagnes.
