Darnley's Gin is made using only natural ingredients; the finest botanicals, the freshest Scottish water, and pure spirit. We believe that by respecting the ingredients nature gives us, and not using artificial colors, sweeteners, or flavorings, we can create a gin that brings an authentic and nuanced flavor to your glass.

The abandoned country house next to our whisky distillery in the village of Kingsbarns was the perfect space to realize our dream of distilling gin in Fife, where our family has lived and worked for centuries.
In the gardens surrounding Darnley's Gin Cottage, we grow as many vegetables as the Scottish climate allows, but more exotic ingredients like cinnamon and grains of paradise need warmer climates, so they source from growers around the world whom we know and trust. We continue to grow, forage for food, and source resources in our endless botanical exploration.

Darnley's Gin is made in a 350l copper still that fits perfectly in our little cottage. It's named Dorothy in honor of two of our regular visitors, and we have a tour guide named Dot, so this also honors someone on our team!

Each bottle of Darnley's Gin begins with the highest quality British-grown grain spirit and the finest botanicals.

Our head distiller, Scott, produces Darnley's Gin in our copper still in the London Dry style to create a gin of uncompromising quality and flavor.

We pride ourselves on making a perfectly natural gin, which is why we make London Dry Gin. This means that no additional flavors or sugars are added after distillation, only purified water to reduce our gin to its bottling strength. Our carefully selected blend of botanicals is steeped in the base spirit, allowing the essential oils and flavors to be released before distillation.

Our story is rooted in Fife, Scotland, where our family has lived and worked for centuries, and it is here that our gin-making journey begins. Partnering with local experts, we source some of our botanicals, such as the elderflower that grows wild on the grounds of Wemyss Castle, our family's ancestral home.
