Named after Ferdinand Geltz, the first forestry engineer of the Prussian royal district, Ferdinand's draws inspiration from the abundant Saar region and its traditions, always keeping the guiding principle "inspired by our heritage" in mind.
The Saar has always been an important confluence of regional traditions and ideas. The spirits of Ferdinand – named after one of the leading figures and guardians of these local traditions; the Royal Forester of Prussia, Ferdinand Geltz (1851-1925) – are immersed in the character and heritage of the region and faithfully fulfill our duty to protect this unique ecosystem.
