HENDRICK'S GIN is brimming with the intriguing yet wonderful essences of rose and cucumber, deliciously supported by no fewer than 11 botanicals from the four corners of the world. This extravagant blend produces a wonderfully refreshing gin with a delightfully floral aroma.
HENDRICK'S GIN is distilled not in one, but in two completely different types of stills. The two leaders of that particular set of stills are Bennett, an antique copper pot dating back to 1860, and Carter-Head, dated 1948 (of which only a few exist today).
Bennett drains the botanicals overnight before distillation, resulting in a rich and complex liquid. While Carter-Head delicately carries the botanicals in a basket high on his neck, the influence is imparted to the spirit in something akin to a botanical steam bath. This produces a lighter and more delicate spirit.
The harmonious combination of Bennett and Carter-Head stills creates an extraordinarily smooth gin unlike any other, possessing the necessary character and balance of subtle flavors.
HENDRICK'S GIN Palace comes from the small coastal village of Girvan, located in Ayrshire, southwest Scotland. The distillery is just a mile inland and overlooks the mysterious volcanic island of Ailsa Craig. This alluring outcrop is uninhabited except for a few geese and puffins, but features in many local legends.
