Vadio is a project by the couple Luís Patrão and Eduarda Dias. Originally from Bairrada, Luís divides his time between Vadio and Alentejo, where he worked for 13 years at Herdade do Esporão, and is currently the oenology director at Herdade de Coelheiros. Eduarda is Brazilian, from Pernambuco, and granddaughter of a Beirão from Lafões; she has lived in Portugal for 11 years and manages the day-to-day operations of the small family business. Luís's father, Mr. Dinis Patrão, is in charge of viticulture. Having previously sold agricultural products to small producers, he is now the biggest enthusiast of organic production. The vineyard is his garden, he often says: "spending a day and not visiting the vineyard is not a good day." The family also counts on the support of the viticulturist Hugo Melo, a friend of Luís from school, who works full-time at Luís Pato, as well as Filipe Abreu and Dona Lurdes Silva, who masterfully execute the vineyard and winery work.
