The Domaine then proclaimed its independence, illustrated in this Manifesto of the 700 : to make the best possible blend every year. Plots, grape varieties, terroir, the hearts and souls of the men: the entire estate had to come together in one bottle, in the spirit of a harvest, with reserve wines, for a single Champagne, different each year, sublimated each year.
