Every year, the launch of a new Legacy evokes the passage of time in the history of a Sogrape that has always been a visionary. Each harvest celebrates the Douro at its best, exalting experience and life. Because in a tribute to the past, this is a wine of the present, which Fernando Guedes conceived to create the future. The story has been repeating itself since 2008, but it's never too much to remember. Fernando Guedes, then President of Sogrape, had long dreamed of a wine capable of expressing the knowledge, passion, and values ​​of a family business that holds a special place in the Douro region, and honoring the passing of this valuable legacy to future generations who would one day take the helm of the company.

Since then, with each harvest, nature has delivered the fruit from the eight hectares of century-old vines at Quinta do Caêdo, in Ervedosa do Douro. This plot, part of a landscape that has always fascinated Fernando Guedes, is the birthplace of a different wine, far from theoretical standards of perfection, but close to the terroir, and above all, the ultimate symbol of the desire to immortalize experience, memory and emotion in a bottle.3
