We are a family-run producer of Port and Douro wines, based in Vila Nova de Gaia and the Douro demarcated region. We were founded with passion and courage, the result of a centuries-old history and an entrepreneurial spirit.
When Johnny Graham founded Churchill's in 1981, at just 29 years old, he wanted to bring a personal, drier, and fresher style to the traditional world of Port wine. Today, Churchill's produces world-renowned wines, from vintage Ports to Ruby and Tawny Ports, to Douro wines that express the spirit of the region and our Quinta, Quinta da Gricha.
Johnny is still at the helm of the company, with the help of the next generation. We are the last independent British house and plan to remain so.
We believe in wines with personality, but without pretension; working in favor of nature; and moments that bring people together with joy.
