Originally owned by the legendary Dona Antónia Ferreira (Ferreirinha), located in the Douro Demarcated Region, known for the quality of its wines. The entire area of the Quinta is almost entirely planted with vines at an altitude of 600 meters, of which 60% are white grape varieties (Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho and Verdelho) and 40% are red grape varieties (Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão and Tinta Barroca).
The vines planted in schist soil have an average age of 65 years, with many of the vines being over 100 years old.
In partnership with "Sociedade Agrícola Quinta de Porrais, Lda", the Santos Lima family is now responsible for the production and marketing of wines from the historic Quinta de Porrais estate.
