Quinta do Monte Xisto is located in the Douro Demarcated Region, more specifically in the Douro Superior sub-region, in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, on the left bank of the Douro River. It has a total area of 40 hectares, with only 10 hectares dedicated to vineyards. It has always been clear to the family that maintaining the biodiversity of the terroir is fundamental, both for the vineyard and for the region. "We are part of a whole, and it is within this whole that we seek to integrate our project." In this sense, they opted for organic production methods with principles of biodynamic agriculture.
