It was in 1988, in the northernmost point of Portugal, in the heart of Monção and Melgaço, the quintessential territory of Vinho Verde wines, that the story of Quinta do Regueiro began.

Located in Côto, in the parish of Alvaredo, municipality of Melgaço, this family business took its first steps with the planting of the first 3 hectares of 100% Alvarinho vineyards.

The years that followed were a time of learning, growth, and great dedication. The harvests and wine production for personal consumption soon began to surprise and reveal their unique character.

It was a slow process, which allowed us to observe the specific characteristics of the vineyard, giving it time, and making the project sustainable.

In 1999, on the eve of the turn of the century, the Quinta do Regueiro brand was registered and the first harvest was launched on the market.

For this important step, the vision and determination of the owners' son, Paulo Cerdeira Rodrigues, then 23 years old, were fundamental. He thus saw his dream of becoming a wine producer realized. This dream was fueled by his passion for wine and dedication to the vineyard.

After 10 years, the company Quinta do Regueiro, Produtor de Alvarinho Ldª, was created, a family business with the two siblings, Paulo Cerdeira Rodrigues and Anabela Cerdeira Rodrigues.

Today, the company comprises a collection of small terraced plots, occupying an area of ​​12 hectares of vineyards, of which 6 hectares are owned and 6 hectares are leased.

These vineyards produce approximately 170,000 bottles destined for the domestic and international markets.
Domestically, Quinta do Regueiro has a strong presence throughout almost the entire country. Madeira and Lisbon are its strongest markets. 

Beyond Portugal, notable countries include the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Brazil.

Proud of a trajectory marked by consistency and evolution, Jurássico was launched in 2019. It is a wine produced to mark the company's 20th anniversary. 

After 10 years of aging in stainless steel and two years in the bottle, this wine was born almost "by accident." With a production run of 1900 bottles, it became a huge hit and was...  Awarded Best National White Wine 2019 by Revista de Vinhos (Wine Magazine).

In the same year, Quinta do Regueiro Barricas was also awarded the same title – Best National White Wine 2019 – this time by Vinho Grandes Escolhas magazine. In addition to these awards, the company was recognized as Best Producer of the Year 2019.

Our goal for the future? To continue innovating and experimenting, always honoring the legacy left by the family and the territory that provides the ideal characteristics for creating these nectars.
