Caminhos Cruzados emerged from the initiative and will of the Santos family, originally from Nelas, determined to return to their roots to invest in an old passion: Dão wine. Thus, in 2012, a family business was born, led by Lígia Santos, who traded Lisbon and her law career for wine and moved to Nelas to guide the project's destiny. Their wines are made from grapes grown on their own estate and from selected producers, recognized for the quality and excellence of their grape varieties, all in the Dão region.

The company's philosophy is based on producing quality wines, combining tradition with modernism and the constant differentiation that the market demands. It is in this context that Caminhos Cruzados wines emerge as "The New Dão".

The name comes from the family's belief that life isn't always a straight path and that, on the contrary, there are more atypical routes that lead us to incredible places. The motto is that every time two paths cross, something fantastic can happen, as is currently happening with family members, with different backgrounds and experiences, whose paths intersect in this project.

In 2015, Caminhos Cruzados was distinguished as "Breakthrough Producer 2015" by Revista de Vinhos, providing further motivation to continue producing unique wines.

The company (vineyards and winery) is located in the Dão region, more specifically in Nelas. In 2017, the new winery was inaugurated, featuring bold architecture that emerges from the vineyards of Quinta da Teixuga. The winery is inspired by the company logo, two intersecting lines, and is perfectly integrated into the environment. It is conscious of both aesthetics and sustainability, and allows for the practice of wine tourism.
