Casal de Vale Pradinhos is a 450-hectare farm, established in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family ever since. The wines produced here are a combination of indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina, and renowned international varieties, namely Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Riesling.
Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas, great-granddaughter of the founder Manoel Pinto de Azevedo, is the current owner of Casal de Vale Pradinhos. She has been implementing her vision in the wines produced here since taking control of the property in 1994. Her daughter, Maria, will be the 4th generation of women directly involved in the management of the property.
