Originating from a completely new vineyard in the Douro Superior, this wine's first edition (2014) resulted from the first harvest of this vineyard. Unusually concentrated and full-bodied, it wasn't what one might expect from a wine made from the first vintage of a new vineyard. However, on rare occasions, very young vines can produce grapes with an incredible concentration of fruit and an admirable balance between fruit, acidity, and tannins. Similar examples are the Bordeaux Le Pin from 1982 or the Noval Nacional Vintage Port from 1931, both wines
Incredible results from the first harvest of new vines. In this third edition (2018), the vines are more established (now 8 years old) and produce round, soft fruit, along with the vibrant acidity that always characterizes this vineyard.
