THE The Dalmore family legacy dates back to 1263. It was in this year that Colin de Kintail, chief of the Mackenzie clan, saved the king. Alexander III was struck by the fury of a stag that carried him. In recognition of this noble act, the king granted the Mackenzie clan the right to use the emblem of 12 Royal stags in their coat of arms.
When the descendants of the Clan became owners of Founded at The Dalmore distillery in 1867, the Royal Stag became the recognizable icon that proudly adorns every bottle of The Dalmore today; an emblem that encapsulates a rich past while embodying the promise that... Dalmore will remain at the pinnacle of single malt.
