Located in Japan, in the Honshu Kanto region, in the area between Kanagawa and the mountains surrounding Nagano, the Kensei team meticulously oversees production with unwavering attention to detail and, above all, to the selection of raw materials – barley, wheat, and water – to create the best possible whisky. Wheat and malt whisky mature for several years in oak barrels before being selected by the team and then blended. According to some, the Japanese climate and lifestyle are fundamental ingredients for the quality of the whisky: it remains to be seen if all this is true.
